In 2019 the initial Malayali residents of Mahendra Aarna Apartments felt the need of integrating the community and formed a WhatsApp group which kept expanding as more and more Malayali families moved in.  As the community grew in size, a group of enthusiastic members suggested the formation of an association and AARNA Malayali Association (AMA) was formed in the year 2022. The Association has very successfully celebrated Onam during 2022 and 2023, showcasing the cultural richness of Kerala to the larger Mahendra Aarna community.

Our vision is to preserve, promote and perpetuate the rich values and traditions of Kerala while providing a healthy, physical and social environment for Malayalis residing in Mahendra Aarna Apartments while being active participants of the larger Mahendra Aarna community.

AARNA Malayali Association (AMA) is a non-profit, secular, cultural and charitable organization:

• To promote, preserve and perpetuate the rich traditions, heritage and culture of Kerala to the next generation of Malayalis.
• To reach out to the needy and promote charitable activities during times of need in the community, thereby developing the quality of giving.
• To provide a platform for our children to learn and share our rich cultural heritage and language.
• To provide avenues to create leaders for the betterment of the community they live in.
• To provide leadership to the community to actively participate in every civic activity in the local communities and thereby assimilate into the local culture and traditions.

AARNA Malayali Association (AMA) members are torch bearers of centuries old traditions and values of Kerala, aptly called “God’s Own Country”. We are proud of the values such as honesty, integrity, compassion, respect, loyalty and diversity. Every member of this organization has inherently attained these values through their ancestors. We hold true to these values now and for the future and pass on the same to our children.
